Our current best advice is to comply within the narrow guidelines. The number one thing to remember here is this is a management request within your chain of command. (DO NOT REPLY TO THE OPM EMAILS ONLY THE ONES FROM DoD) The examples they give are basically easy to fill in the details needed and move to the next without having to go into huge explanations. We don't know how info will be used, positively or negatively. There is fear that subversion of any kind could cause punishment or blowback later. We truly don't know. Currently, it seems to be a single request.
Remember there are times where we must comply with the requests from management and fight them later once, we have the whole picture.
This is not over yet Let's keep communicating on this.
If you are a probation employee, or an employee leaving service what information should you keep for your records. This is good advice for all to be prepared.
